A PITCHer's worth $5000 with Charles Street Video
Charles Street Video's deadline for the 2007 Pitchin' symposium has been extended to Monday, May 28 at 6:00 p.m. - meaning that you've got just over 56 hours to come up with something to submit. The prize is five thousand dollars' worth of Charles Street Video hi-def video equipment, along with post-production services. Bearing in mind that Charles Street already cuts filmmakers a huge deal on rental rates, so you're actually looking at around $20,000 worth of industry value in this prize. Come on filmmakers, try to argue your way out of that one.
Fine print: the films must "feature the theme of cultural diversity and/or cultural identity," and the finished film has to be no more than 4 minutes long. The five finalist pitchers must be available for the 2-hour workshop on June 8, along with a seminar on June 16.
Applications can be downloaded from the Worldwide Short Film Festival web site.
