Contest: Win Tickets to Carts of Darkness at Hot Docs
Hot Docs 2008 gets under way tomorrow, and documentary-lovers are buzzing with excitement.
One film that has definitely caught my attention also happens to be one that delves into a problem that is particularly rampant in Toronto - homelessness. It's a problem that nearly every large city has in common, but in the streets of North Vancouver there's a lesser-known group of bottle pickers that have formed a special relationship with their city, and created a unique subcultural phenomenon - shopping cart racing.
Carts of Darkness is director Murray Siple's investigative journey into this strange and intriguing urban lifestyle, and two blogTO readers have a chance to win tickets to the upcoming Toronto premiere at Hot Docs on Monday, April 21st.
