Hot Docs 2008 brings to Toronto a torrent of incredible documentaries from all over the world, and some from closer to home.

Umiaq Skin Boat, directed by Jobie Weetaluktuk, is the tale of a group of inspired Inuit elders from Inukjuak, Quebec. The group does something that is an important part of their rich cultural heritage but hasn't been done before the eyes of the people in over 50 years - they build a boat using the skins of seals, and embark on a nostalgic journey that reveals tales of survival in days past.
