Reality show crew bowls over pedestrians while filming in busy Toronto neighbourhood
People strolling around Kensington Market today had to brace themselves as The Amazing Race Canada descended to film an episode on the neighbourhood's streets.
They didn’t learn of the news through social media or a pleasant notice posted up in the area, but as a camera crew channeled their inner offensive lineman, charging their way down the road in hot pursuit of a competing team.

The Amazing Race pits teams against each other, following them as they complete legs across the country in hopes of winning prizes.
One Twitter user questioned what exactly they might be searching for in the market.

The best burn probably came from the original poster herself, who remarked that, "[the] challenge that makes most sense is throwing these teams on queen east and getting them to transit to queen west but whatever."
i mean the amazing race challenge that makes most sense is throwing these teams on queen east and getting them to transit to queen west but whatever

Another user added that she'd encountered a camera crew chasing two people in Yorkville last week, so it seems this race is covering a lot of ground.
This makes sense now. Mom and I were in Yorkville last week, and the whole street surged with two guys running and a whole whack of cameramen. Then the tide changed, and they shifted directions. Utter chaos.

If you're out in the city this weekend, be ready to dodge. The Amazing Race Canada might be coming at you fast.
