Here's what's filming in Toronto this fall and winter
Filming and Toronto go hand-in-hand.
Some of us have niche hobbies and I am not ashamed to admit that one of mine is roaming around Toronto in search of film sets and celebs.
The city is a hot spot when it comes to filming TV shows and movies, and as we move into winter, there is a slew of new productions coming to our area.
Keep your eyes peeled, and if you're like me, get lurking.
Ah yes, the ol' Canadian classic. Murdoch Mysteries is a TV series that brings stories taking place in Toronto during the 1890s and early 1900s to life. If you see cameras and groups of people in some very vintage outfits, chances are you've spotted them. Filming is underway and will continue in Toronto until February 2025.
Ivory Tower is a series for crime lovers! The show is set to follow a secretive Internal Affairs division in the LAPD - cool. Filming began in the summer and will run until February 2025.
According to the Film & Television Industry Alliance, this spooky series is about a notorious killer. The show "explores Gacy's dark deeds, intertwining them with the tragic tales of his victims and the systemic failures that enabled his crimes to go undetected for so long."
Oh, did I mention the real-life Gacy would dress up as a clown? So yeah, that's what you could be seeing on the streets of Toronto. Filming is happening from now until February 2025.
Now this one caught my eye. Snowflakes is an FX TV series that's meant to be like an edgier, modern-day Friends. The show will follow a group of friends "with diverse backgrounds who live and navigate their lives in a bustling metropolis." Production is set to start in Toronto during the first week of December.
Calling all Trekkies! This Star Trek series filming in Toronto "will follow the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy." The shoot date is scheduled to start Jan. 31, 2025.
Dun, dun! My favourite TV series-turned-Toronto, Law & Order, is back for a third season. Keep a good lookout on the streets between now and May 2025 when filming is slated to wrap up.
The Handmaid's Tale is officially back in production on its sixth and final season, according to Hulu.
A photo was shared on Nov. 12 on Hulu's Instagram with the caption, "We are hard at work on the final season and I’m so excited to share with you guys these first look images!!!" The stars of the series have also been posting from Toronto recently, which has been a location for filming during past seasons.
Most recently, actress Yvonne Strahovski shared photos at one of the Taylor Swift concerts in Toronto, while costar Ever Carradine posted pictures at a Toronto Maple Leafs game writing, "Taylor Swift Saturday right into Maple Leafs Sunday. It's been a pretty epic 24 hours in Toronto." Elisabeth Moss was also spotted at a Taylor Swift concert during the first week of shows.

As well as the Instagram posts, the cast and crew have been seen shooting scenes around Toronto including at Bloor and Church this week.
Be on the lookout for any of these TV shows or movies while they're filming in Toronto.
