Tonight at Clinton's: Three Guitaros

Tonight local band Three Guitaros are playing at Clinton's (just east of Christie and Bloor on Bloor). I got an email recently with pictures of these guys in their amazingly awesome costumes, and got in touch with them to find out a little more about the band.

Band member Sheriff Lemon Pie had this to say about them: "The Guitaros aren't famous. We're INfamous. We're infamous for not showing up to any of our gigs, but we always find Three Guitaros cover-bands to fill in at the last minute. That's right. We have cover bands all over the world. Those salty high-seas shanty-singers, The Three YoHoHoOs filled in for us when we were shaghaied by banditos once. The Three Cosmonautos (see above) showed up and covered for us when we were incapacitated from bad tequila. The Three TicTacToeOs filled in on that shameful off-night when we fleetingly and mistakenly believed looking at the moon and sitting around the campfire reflecting on cowboy life was more important than playing a rock n roll country show."

They sound like Ween, and the show is a mere $5. The Sheriff assured me that 3 Guitaros will play the show, but added, "Then again, Mexican Pete just bought a kickass chemistry set that we've been messing with all day. Let's hope we don't 'splode ourselves to bits and have to call a fill-in band yet again..."

Or let's hope they do?!
