Puff the Magic... Drew?

Toronto indie Borg collective Broken Social Scene will be lending their musical talents to an upcoming children's album, entitled "See You On the Moon", to be released March 21st. Kevin Drew & crew have recorded a more mournful version of the children's classic "Puff the Magic Dragon", with BSS's usual horn section lending a dirge-y "funeral vibe".

Uhh...hmm. Interesting...

Other Canadians lending a hand & a voice are the FemBots, Great Lake Swimmers, and Andrew Whiteman/Apostle of Hustle (who used a sample of his goddaughter and her friend chanting playground jingles looped over a series of handclaps and a spacey backbeat for his offering).

"See You on the Moon!" track list:

"Be Nice to People With Lice," Alan Sparhawk
