May Day: A Hip Hop Benefit for Taxi Drivers

Tonight, a musical benefit to support the Toronto Coalition of Concerned Taxi Drivers will be filling the air at Greens Bar & Restaurant (509 Oakwood Ave (NE at Vaughn Rd).

The coalition, supported by OCAP, was formed a year ago to support cabbies in the face of discrimination, racial profiling, and deplorable working conditions.

Performances this evening by supporters: Wasun, Quanche, Shark, and Vaughn and Oakwoods finest. The evening will also be the re-lease of Wasun's debut album, "What Must Be Done" -- there will be free CD's I believe.

Doors open at 8:30pm. Admission is $5-10 (sliding scale).
