Jason Collett gets intimate at Rivoli

Billed (yet scarcely advertised) as "an intimate evening", the Rivoli filled its small backroom with chairs & cafe tables for a solo acoustic performance by Broken Social Scene's Jason Collett on Wednesday evening. Jason played 2 shows along with producer/songwriter Howie Beck that were so quiet you could hear a pin drop (or my camera shutter click). Jason charmed the respectful audience with a set full of mostly new or unreleased material, including the very well recieved "Tropic of Safety" and "No Redemption", and dedicated his naughty older hit "Diggin' In The Carpet" to Nelly Furtado, "because she's so sexy, and so promiscuous. And so subtle about it". Oh yeah, sarcastic liscense in full effect.
