Friends In Bellwoods

Friends In Bellwoods Show

The sounds of Parkdale don't waltz up and down the gentrified streets and they certainly don't run up and down the parks catching Frisbees. They hide within the streets -- the Bellwoods streets -- in the old houses and in the basements where nobody has a clue what magic is transpiring -- musically, that is.

The Bellwoods House holds the promising musicians and artists of today. They share each other's ideas, feelings and food. The best part about all of that is, there's a whole lot of 'em...and a dog named Appleby. Aside from the lovable dog, the group of friends have decided to put on a show at The Tranzac this Friday to celebrate the release of their compilation record, detailing a plethora of songs from the collectives library of songs.

The compilation, simply titled 'Friends In Bellwoods', will sport over 25 songs from artists such as The Acorn, Ohbijou, We're Marching On..., Kids On TV, Bry Webb, Mantler, The Meligrove Band, Telefauna and many more.

Performing at The Tranzac will be Ohbijou, Sebastian Grainger, The Paramedics (Bry Webb Solo Project) & The D'Urbervilles.

Also, the Bellwoods crew believe in supporting the charities and funds in Toronto. So, besides the $10 ticket, a non-perishable food item or a few are more-than-welcome when you come for the show! All food proceeds go to The Daily Bread Food Bank. Doors are for 9pm.
