Anti-CMW: Zoobombs

You've all probably had more than enough CMW coverage by now... so how about a little anti-CMW coverage.

Zoobombs were rocking The Comfort Zone last week like I haven't seen since King Khan and His Strines took the stage there last NXNE. In similar fashion, they played night after night and somehow managed to build on their momentum throughout their engagement. By Saturday night, things had reached the brink of insanity...

Woodhands had just taken the stage when I arrived. People were dancing and the place was heating up. The perfect opening band!

Then Kids On TV took over and the madness began! These guys definitely blur the line between brilliance and insanity.

And although it was approaching last call by the time our beloved Zoobombs took the stage, there was no shortage of energy in the room. As the tempo built, the crowd started to lose control! Don Matsuo seemed moved by the response to the show, opening up about the lows he's been through recently, and how Toronto felt like his (second) home.

There's been such an overwhelming response that the Zoombombs' stay has been extended. The final show is tonight at the Silver Dollar, $7.
