Plants and Animals

NO SHAME: Plants and Animals / The Phonemes

A few weeks ago, Montreal's Plants and Animals performed a killer set at The Tiger Bar. The band showed that there are bands out there that are so tight, it would take something gargantuan to separate them. Now I'm sure a lot of you missed out of this, and that's okay. We're all allowed to be given second chances, yes? Well, in my opinion, I believe in giving more than one chance because there might be three, four, or yes, EVEN EIGHT times where you'll want to see a band and keep missing them because of some made-up reason. The lot of you will probably be going to Hillside this weekend (yes, that's one of the eight reasons). However, for those that will not, you can check out Plants and Animals this Friday at The Silver Dollar.

This is part of NO SHAME, Toronto's better-than-normal weekly summer showcase (no disrespect to Wavelength), and Pop Montreal. Assisting with opening for the evening will be Toronto's The Phonemes, who recently released their wonderful LP entitled "There's Something We've Been Meaning To Do". Also performing will be Montreal's Katie Moore and Toronto's Key Witness.
