Almost any type of music can help you log that extra mile on your run, make you clean your living room just a bit faster or make 4 inch stilettos at 1:30 am seem just a bit more comfortable. So I'll admit it - I listen to hip-hop and I listen to techno and I like Thunderheist.

Hailing from Montreal, Thunderheist classifies their music as other and their music is just that - a little touch of hip-hop and techno minimally performed with amazing efficiency.

The samplings may look meager, but the four songs Thunderheist showcases give a fantastic sense of what to expect with these guys. They mix things up by adding in a remix and a sampler piece which is a nice treat for the listener.

Slow Roll will instantly make you blush with a cute little wolf-whistle start. A solid drum track quickly takes over with a seductive vocal track mixed over top of it. It's a simple tune, but minimalism is the overall strength of this tune.

Heavy bass starts off Suenos Dulces and...wait...am I listening to the Eurythmics? Why yes, indeed I am. Thunderheist has sampled Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) (hence the Spanish title which translates to "sweet sleep" or "sweet dreams", depending on your grammar) and do a stunning job. The original song isn't lost, but it's not overpowering the entire song.

BubbleGum HatchmatiK (Remix) pulls out a stronger techno feel. The vocals are very sparse and do get slightly lost behind the instrument aspect of the song, but it gives the listener an idea of the versatility of the group. It will make you want to get up and dance.

Jerkitttt Sampler is a bit of a struggle - what are you to expect from a sampler? It's relatively self-explanatory and maybe not the strongest song they could have showcased, but it's only a sampler. Enjoy it for what it is has to offer. It's still catchy and will still make you want to move.
