Tricky performing live

Tricky Ticket Giveaway

Tricky's latest album, Knowle West Boy, twists together the sounds of post-punk, ska, reggae, hip hop and pure pop that he grew up on.

Tricky's vocal stylings appeared on Massive Attack's groundbreaking 1992 album, Blue Lines and made a cameo on their second album, Protection. His debut critically acclaimed album Maxinquaye came out in 1995. It topped many year-end polls including Melody Maker and NME. He has since collaborated with and remixed for artists including Bjรถrk, Neneh Cherry, Elvis Costello, Garbage and Bush.

We're giving away two pairs of tickets to the Tricky concert at the Mod Club tomorrow night.

I loved Tricky's film appearance as the right-hand man Michael to evil businessman Mr. Zorg in Fifth Element. A quick look at his IMDB profile shows that he's had more than a few writer and performer credits.

Tricky plays tomorrow night, April 2 at the Mod Club Theatre (722 College St.) with special guest Natalie Stewart (from Floetry). Tickets are $29.50 and are available at Ticketmaster, Rotate This, Soundscapes & Play De Record. 19+, Doors at 7 p.m. Show at 8 p.m.

To win a pair of tickets, be one of the first two commenters here at or after 6 p.m. blogTO time today AND answer the following question. You must provide a valid email address in the appropriate comment form field so that I can contact you to arrange the details of claiming your prize. One comment per entrant only, please (we'll be watching IPs!).

In the spirit of Awkward Show & Tell, what's the trickiest situation you've gotten out of?

Good luck!
