Toronto band Neon Windbreaker has solved the problem of nagging hunger at concerts, but perhaps has created a new one? The band has promised to release a limited edition sandwich and fruit EP for its February 3rd show at Rainbow Palace. There will be 20 sandwiches (10 meat and 10 vegan) and 30 pieces of fruit given out at the event. Yes, I was scratching my head too.

The band's singer, Eric Warner, cleared it up for me. Rather than some sort of whimsy licorice-made reel-to-reel (which, admittedly, I was sort of hoping for) the band will be giving out sandwiches wrapped in wax paper and closed with a download sticker linking to its EP. The fruit (apples, bananas, and oranges) will be screened with edible sugar ink linking to the same download.

"I sometimes get hungry at concerts but don't want to leave a band I am watching," Warner wrote me in an email. "So this at least temporarily alleviates that problem."

Sounds like a neat idea, but what happens if someone tosses the peel? Or, even worse, eats the apple?!
