Cn Tower drake

The CN Tower is turning gold tonight at Drake's request

He's no elected official, but Aubrey Graham might just be the most powerful man in Toronto (or at least cool enough to hold considerable influence over him.)

Fresh off one doozy of an acceptance speech at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday night, Drake was asked backstage if he had anything else to say, you know, after the show's producers abruptly cut his mic.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," said the artist, stopping to pull an Entertainment Tonight reporter's microphone to his mouth. "I wanna say, the Mayor of Toronto needs to turn the CN Tower gold tomorrow."

"Chrome and Gold," he continued while pulling away. "Are you stupid are you dumb?"

Ask and thou shalt recieve, o ye of great economic value.

Toronto Mayor John Tory is neither stupid nor dumb, as evidenced by his swift moves to appease the Degrassi actor-turned-6ix God—and then some.

The CN Tower will light up in shades of gold to celebrate Drake's fourth Grammy win on Monday evening, but it won't be the only iconic object to put on for the OVO crew.

The Toronto sign outside City Hall at Nathan Phillips Square will also be decked out in gold this evening to celebrate Drizzy's win, as per the mayor himself on Twitter.

Hey Drake, ask him if we can all have free tacos next! Or to open up the roof of City Hall for parties! Or for a subway system that doesn't shut down every time it snow!

You da you da best.
