Taylor Swift fans share how much money they spent to see the Eras Tour in Toronto

One thing about Taylor Swift fans is they're willing to do whatever it takes to see her live. While the Eras Tour is in Toronto for six shows between Nov.14 and 23, it's not just locals here to see Taylor Swift perform.

Fans have travelled from other provinces and even countries to see a show on the iconic tour as it comes to an end.

How much did you spend to see Taylor Swift in Toronto?

Speaking to Swifties outside of the Rogers Centre on Thursday as they got ready for night one of the Eras Tour, one fan said that even though she was able to get two tickets for $300, the cost of accommodations brought the total to much more.

"$3000 is the total of how much I've spent," the Swift fan from Manitoba tells blogTO.

For those travelling far distances, a high price tag seemed unavoidable.

"Flights from Newfoundland are expensive," said one group, who said they spent over $2000.

While still pricey, another out-of-town fan found a way around a few costs.

"We paid for the flight with WestJet dollars and we used Aeroplan points for the hotel. So all in, maybe $1500. We kept it pretty cheap this time which is amazing for me."

Meanwhile, two fans who live closer to Toronto said they were able to cut costs.

"With tickets and the GO Train and gas maybe around $800-ish," they said, for their total.

A concert-goer from Victoria, B.C., also saved money by staying with friends in the city, but still paid about $1000 with flights. Her friend, on the other hand, spent less at $500.

"My flight was only $107 and my flight home was only $300 and I'm staying with a friend. Some merch and some food, maybe $500?"

So, what was the average price spent by those who attended night one in Toronto? Around $1560 in total.

Last minute ticket prices

If you don't have tickets already for her upcoming shows, and you still want to attend, you may be looking at even higher costs for last minute seats.

Resale tickets are available for the rest of the five Toronto shows, and buying tickets the day of each concert seems to be the best option in terms of saving money.

StubhubVividseats and Seat Geek all show the cheapest seat available across the rest of the five shows is for Nov. 15, at an average cost of $1800.

If you're looking ahead at the concerts on the 16, 21, 22 and 23, be prepared to spend over $2,200 right now.

Keep your eyes peeled for any ticket releases on the day of each show via Ticketmaster. You must be signed up as a verified fan to gain access, and while it isn't confirmed that tickets will become available for every concert, it's worth checking for!

Don't forget to pop in all the other fun Taylor Swift-themed festivities happening around Toronto while you're here.

In the words of Taylor herself, "We got bills to pay, we got nothing figured out." Enjoy every dollar spent on the Eras Tour, Toronto!
