Oasis attacker gets house arrest
Daniel Sullivan, who pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily harm for his attack of Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher at the Virgin Music Festival in 2008, has escaped jail time.
Although the Crown was seeking a sentence of six to eight months in jail, Ontario Justice Richard Schneider cited the mysterious nature of Sullivan's behaviour and his otherwise clean record in delivering his ruling.
A $2 million civil suit filed by Gallagher against Sullivan and the concert security compnay remains active.
