TTC wants streetcar riders to "Meet Your New Ride"
The TTC is in the latter stages of tweaking the design elements of the new fleet of LFLRVs (low floor light rail vehicles) that are destined for Toronto streets in 2013. These are the new generation of streetcars that will drive all of our existing streetcar track and also provide service on forthcoming waterfront routes.
But before making decisions final and before we get to see three prototype vehicles late in 2011, the commission is reaching out to riders for another round of input from the public.
Check out the TTC's flashy LRV page, submit your design ideas, and help Toronto come up with a name for our new streetcar.
