Details of G20 class action lawsuit released

Sherry Good is the lead plaintiff in a $45 million class action lawsuit against police.

Good was among the hundreds of people forced to stand in the rain for hours at Spadina and Queen Sunday of the G20 summit weekend. She says she was not a protester, but was merely walking in her neighborhood when she found herself barricaded by riot police.

"It was a very frightening and disturbing experience," said Good, who works as an office administrator. "I couldn't believe this was happening in my country."

The suit was filed yesterday and announced this morning in front of Queen's Park. Good said the experience took a profound toll on her emotionally. "But the biggest consequence of that weekend is that I have lost my trust in the police," she said.

The notice needs to be certified by the court, which can take several months, to move forward.
