No cheeky luggage decals at Pearson airport
Apparently you can't bring luggage emblazoned with realistic-looking cocaine bags to Pearson. Who knew?
The federal ministry has banned a series of gag luggage decals it deems, "Not funny."
The stickers, applied to luggage, depict images of suitcases stuffed with money, cocaine, sex toys and even a bound and gagged flight attendant.
"Joking around like this could possibly a serious violation of the aeronautics act," James Kusie, spokesperson for Transport Minister John Baird said in an email to the Toronto Star. "Joking about potentially trafficking illegal substances, or worse, is not funny and the government will use the full force of the of the law to ensure Canadians who travel by air are safe."
Thecheeky.com, the website previously selling the decals, says it will no longer fill Canadian orders. "We can't take the risk and we're sorry," it said.
