Bixi Toronto hits 884 members
Almost there! Bixi Toronto is getting closer to hitting its minimum target after announcing its 884th subscription yesterday.
The Bixi program needs 1,000 subscribers by November to assure it will be up and running for spring 2011. Annual subscriptions cost $95 and allow unlimited use of shared bikes for 30 minutes or less.
Bixi aims to have 1000 bikes ready for phase one of the program in the spring, along with 80 docking stations with locations yet to be determined.
