Ad agency GJP announces fire sale on YouTube
Toronto advertising agency Gee, Jeffery & Partners is closing shop. Well, sort of. In a move that's a lot like advertising for advertising, company chairmen Alan Gee has taken to YouTube to announce that GJP is having a "closing down liquidation fire sale." Among the items on offer are rulers, phones, cookie platters and other executives.
Inspired by Russel Oliver's jewelry and loan ads, no doubt, the whole thing is actually pretty humorous. And, lest anyone actually thing that one of Canada's biggest ad agencies is calling it quits, all the proceeds from the sale -- which is real -- will go to benefit Jake's House for Children with Autism.
Now the question is, how does this stand up against the work of Don Draper?
