3. Wish You Were Here: Postcards From Toronto
Katharine Mulherin's idea was simple: hand out blank postcards to a bunch of artists, and see what comes back. This resulting, constantly expanding, exhibit is a collection of the submitted art pieces. I get the feeling there won't be any mounted police or CN Towers present. Opens tonight and runs to March 29.

4. Divine Performing Arts
Still getting over Beijing 2008's opening and closing ceremonies? This is probably as close as you're gonna get: heavily costumed classical Chinese dancers prance to music from their travelling DPA orchestra. Runs to January 14.

5. AIDS Wolf at the Boat
To some, Montreal's AIDS Wolf is just noise and chaos. For others, it's escapism and reason to thrash around and convulse -- and I'm just talking about the band here. Be prepared for a loud, passion-filled, and incredibly fun show. Grandmas, stay home. Satanized, Disguises, and The Dead Are Those Who Have Died open.

7. DOUBLE DOUBLE LAND LAND
Jon McCurley's experimental live performance uses video projection, installations, and set design in this collaborative exhibition. Double Double Land Land addresses the culture of fear and doubt in a Vonnegut-esque tale. Very, very limited limited space space, so get there early.
