FESTIVAL | Caribana Official Launch
One of Toronto's biggest cultural festivals kicks off with a massive gathering at Nathan Phillips Square and the official launch ceremony featuring the Canadian national anthem performed by Joy Lapps, the Princess of Pan. Just a taste of what's in store for the festival!

MUSIC | Micachu & The Shapes
London, England's Mica Levi plays experimental pop songs that combine a knowledge of classical composition with hip-hop beats, found sound samples and homemade instruments including a modified guitar called a "Chu". Now signed to Rough Trade records, her band the Shapes is definitely one of the UK's most interesting new acts.

THEATRE | Medea
Theatre of Change, a non-profit Toronto theatre organization, presents an outdoor production of Medea, with unique staging allowing the audience to follow Jason and the Argonauts through different areas of the Humber Bay Park, as they battle a fire-breathing bull and other fantastic creatures.

MUSIC | Tim Vaughn
Saskatoon's singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tim Vaughn may best be described as a modern day renaissance man. 2008's "Two Tone Blue" is Vaughn's solo debut, and he is turning heads across Canada with funky grooves, catchy melodies and expressive guitar work.
