Beirut's primary singer/songwriter Zach Condon spent several months in Europe studying Balkan traditional music, a major influence on the sound of the group, which blends contemporary indie with eastern European folk melodies. Openers the Dodos play psychedelic folk songs that perfectly complement the headliners' sound.
