Toronto's 21st Afrofest is a showcase of the richness and diversity of African culture, a multi-focus event of song, dance, theatre, food, a marketplace, and activities for youth and children, as well as traditional and contemporary music by top international touring acts and dozens of African performing groups from across Canada

FILM | Strategies of the Medium II: Printed Light
A screening of short films that use the optical printer and contact printer as primary production tools, resulting in some extraordinarily visually expressive pieces. Followed by a discussion with the filmmakers.

GALLERY | The Art of Togetherness Exhibition
This exhibition brings together Winnipeg's Sandee Moore and Tokyo's Yoshinori Niwa in an exploration of traditional Japanese cultural activities such as Sento and kite-flying, delving into the realm of artistic community expression.

FOOD | Evergreen Brickworks Farmers' Market
The Farmers' Market features a fabulous assortment of fruits, vegetables, wild fish, meat, cheese, milled flours, eggs and oils, all from local farmers. Though the Brickworks can be difficult to find on your own, there will be a shuttle from Broadview Station every 30 minutes.

MUSIC | Bishop Morocco
Bishop Morocco is the name given to a new musical project by Jake Fairley & James Sayce, veterans in the music scene with experience in both electronic music and bands such as Tangiers and the Deadly Snakes. The pair spent much of the last year living in the Netherlands, writing their self-titled album - this is their debut full-band performance.

PARTIES | Everyone's a DJ
Everyone's a DJ features sixteen rookie and veteran DJs alike playing twenty-minute sets each. No experience is required, and anybody can request a set, regardless of their music preference.

A massive game of capture the flag, with at least 80 participants expected; the new wave of urban gaming continues with this community-friendly event. Bicycles, binoculars, cellphones, GPS, maps and walkie talkies are all allowed and recommended.

GALLERY | Decimals Rebuilt
The exhibition combines contemporary painting, animation and graphic design into a single interactive exhibit that blends the aesthetic of traditional street art with digital media. Featuring over 35 paintings, digital and motion picture animations, there is a whole world of expression to explore here.
