FILM | Cinéfranco at the Revue
The Revue Cinema and Cinéfranco present Canadian premieres of two French films, "Sang Froid" and "Les Petites Vacances") as part of a quarterly mini-French film festival. The event continues on Tuesday, with Shlomo Schwartzberg concluding his five-part lecture "The Genius of French Cinema", and the premiere of the film "Un Roman Policier".

Organic Funk play a heady mix of rock n' roll, reggae and funky jazz with a down-to-earth musical sensibility that is swiftly earning them a reputation on the Toronto music scene. Founding members Michael and Jason Constantini are joined by Alan Zemiatus on keyboards and Jim O'Brien on bass and sax. The show will also feature live indie-electronica group Your Pretend Boyfriend.

Having sold 17 million albums worldwide, seminal ska-punk band Sublime combined elements of reggae, dub, hip-hop and psychedelia infused with punk energy and attitude to create the defining "California sound" of the 90's. Lead singer Brad Nowell's death from a drug overdose in 1996 has earned them legendary status, with this San Diego-based tribute band "40 oz. to Freedom" only one of many to pay homage to the group's legacy.
