ART | Dr. Sketchy's Session w/ Tank Girl
Most art is about sex, even if it's pretending to be about beautiful sunsets, orchids, or Jesus. So when the artists who run Dr. Sketchy's say they're holding a session of "life drawing", what they really mean is "naked drawing." Dr. Sketchy's is known for presenting unique and colourful models and the star of this session, Brynne (posing as Tank Girl), is no exception. The Cameron House forbids complete nudity on its premises, but the costumes these models wear are a lot more interesting than boring old exposed skin.
Cameron House, 408 Queen St. W., $10, 7 pm

PARTY | Fragglerock @ Social Mondays
The Canadian DJ duo Fragglerock have been tearing up the club scene lately and have deejayed for some big names, including Beyonce, Lil Wayne, and Weezer, but DJs Yalefox and Jonesian are more than just two pairs of quick hands on the turntables. Yalefox reportedly holds a degree in biology and psychology from Queen's University, and has done experiments at his gigs testing how music affects bar sales. Come down to the Social tonight and be part of his scientific endeavour. That's right, drink for science!
The Social, 1100 Queen St. W., 10 pm

THEATRE | First Draft 2010
First Draft is a reading series that helps playwrights through the writing process by allowing them to showcase new projects in an interactive setting. The idea is that writers read early drafts of their work to an audience and then get constructive feedback. Tonight is the kick-off party for the 2009/2010 season, and will feature music, door prizes, and a silent auction. This is your chance to get a preview of this year's season, which includes work by Rob Corbett, Adam Bradley, and Kathleen McDonnell.
Pilot Tavern, 22 Cumberland St., $10, 7 pm

FILM | Monday Movie Madness
PawsWay isn't a pet store, it's a pet discovery centre. An interactive public space that serves as a resource for how to be a responsible pet owner, it also holds the Animal Hall of Fame, which honours our courageous furry friends who have helped save human lives. Tonight PawsWay invites you and your mutt to a family- and dog-friendly screening of the Disney movie Bolt. Grab a blanket and a bitch and come on down.
PawsWay, 245 Queen's Quay, Free, 6 pm

PHOTOGRAPHY | Closing Party - Roger Cullman Photography
Roger Cullman is a photographer who's made a name for himself by taking pictures that capture the reality of daily life in Toronto (including much of his work here on blogTO). For the past month his work has been exhibited at Kilgour's Bar Meets Grill in the Annex, and as the show closes tonight Cullman is raffling off some beautiful framed prints.
Kilgour's Bar Meets Grill, 509 Bloor St. W., $5, 6 pm

FASHION | Ed Hardy Fashion Show
The Ed Hardy clothing label is most widely known for its tattoo-inspired designs on high-end hats and t-shirts. Though summer is almost over, beautiful models in swimwear are never out of season and tonight the label presents a swimsuit fashion show at the C Lounge. Bottle service is available on their swanky patio.
C Lounge, 456 Wellington, 10 pm
