The Decemberists' brand of thoughtful, lyrical indie rock has often been compared to fellow west-coast band Death Cab For Cutie, and the band's status as college radio favourites has landed them a great deal of success for a band with such artful ambitions. Their new album "The Hazards Of Love" takes their storytelling tendencies even further with character-driven songs and an underlying narrative.
