COMMUNITY | Darcy Allan Sheppard Memorial Ride
Toronto cyclists will gather, ride in solidarity, and have a moment of silence in memory of bike courier Darcy Allan Sheppard, who was killed this week in an shocking incident in Yorkville.

STORYTELLING | Annual Story Slam
The Boat is usually the go-to venue for gritty rock shows featuring local indie bands, but tonight it hosts an event that's all about spinning yarns. Toronto's best storytellers will be there telling bedtime stories, ghost stories, Bible stories, and yes, erotic stories. Each budding bard will get 5 minutes to unfold their tale, and contestants will be judged in a two-round format. Winner gets $80 and a collection of short stories.

THEATRE | The Zoo Story by Edward Albee
Red One Theatre brings drama to a park near you with their production Edward Albee's The Zoo Story. Written in 1958, Albee's first play explores the alienation of living in a commercial world, and since it's set entirely on a bench, staging it in a park is a natch. Red One is taking the show on tour to various parks throughout the city from now until the 19th. This is some heavy stuff though, so leave the kiddies at home.

COMEDY| Approximately 3 Peters: Your Parents' Basement #2
Approximately 3 Peters is a highly-rated sketch comedy troupe of graduates from Second City's Conservatory Program. Nerdy and hilarious, the threesome is back tonight with all new material, and are joined by fellow troupes Deadpan Powepoint, Grade Eight Dance, and Girls Gone Funny.

MUSIC/COMEDY | Annex Live - Music and Comedy Night
Musical comedy is generally pretty hit and miss, but Alison Jutzi was a finalist on one of CBC's most successful shows in decades (that one about the Sound of Music) so you know she's got some talent. Also on the bill are historically-minded humourous folk duo the United Empire Loyalists and Small Town Treason, who are billed as a mix between folk and hip-hop.

MUSIC | Marcus Visionary at Dubslingers
Thymeless is a place that all Torontonians should experience at least once. An honest-to-goodness reggae bar, this unpolished place keeps the decor to a minimum and the lights down low. For Jamaican music it can't be beat in this city, and tonight is no exception as drum 'n bass veteran Marcus Visionary lays down a righteous set as part of the Dubslingers concert series. Red Stripe behind the bar and big beats pounding from the woofers.
