FASHION | R4 Fashion
Style and eco-consciousness come together in this event put on by the University of Waterloo's Sustainable Technology Education Project. Some of Canada's top fashion designers including Carrie Hayes, Sonja den Elzen and Rachel Jasmine Chan will present designs that are as sustainable as they are sexy. The event brings together students, young professionals, industry leaders and fashionistas with the goal of finding eco-friendly technologies for the fashion industry.

GALLERY | 52 McCaul Grand Opening "$20"
A new gallery opens tonight in the art-rich neighbourhood centred around the AGO. 52 McCaul aims to be a different kind of artspace; a cultural hub that will connect local artists with the community and will feature work from both experienced and emerging artists (and everyone in between). At their grand opening tonight you'll have a chance to buy a wide variety of works each for the very reasonable price of $20, with all proceeds going to fund the gallery. The new gallery is a joint initiative by grassroots art organization Well and Good and curators Teresa Aversi and Charlie Irani.

EXHIBITION | The Everything To Do With Sex Show
This weekend the ETDWSS will be stimulating the body and soul (but mostly the body) at Exhibition Place with all the best of everything related to getting it on. A fashion show and carnival parade, body spray art demonstrations, seminars on how to find the perfect sex toy, and even a full scale dungeon are but some of the highlights that have made this one of the biggest shows of its kind in the world. Sure to be a very naughty weekend. Runs til Sunday.

FILM FESTIVAL | Breast Fest Film Festival
The Breast Fest is not a component of the Everything To Do With Sex Show, but is in fact the world's first and only film festival dedicated entirely to breast cancer. An initiative of Rethink Breast Cancer, the fest uses the medium of film to educate and inspire those affected by the disease as well as the wider community. Six films ranging from the comic to the heart-wrending will be screened over three days, and will be accompanied by seminars on such topics as Body Image and Sexuality After Breast Cancer, while the Words of Wellness workshop will explore writing's ability to heal. Runs til Sunday.

MUSIC | Rural Alberta Advantage at Lee's Palace
Toronto's favourite adopted Albertans celebrate a great year with a their biggest Toronto show to date tonight. A couple of years of hard work have paid off for the talented trio, and the RAA is on a decidedly upward trajectory of late having scored a record deal with American label Saddle Creek and won the hearts of fans and critics alike. Tickets are supposedly sold out but Lee's usually has a couple on hand before the show. Bahamas and Fox Jaws open.

FESTIVAL | Ice, Wine and Dine
Elm Street will be filled with great food and entertainment tonight for the Ice, Wine and Dine festival. A strolling a capella quartet will wander the street beneath stilt walkers and fire performers, while Dr. Magic will performing amazing feats and the Jerome Godboo Band and the Dick Felix trio will be playing live jazz. There's also fortune tellers, martini lounges, and special menus from the street's numerous restaurants. Not sure what this one block did to deserve it's own party, but it looks like a whole lot of fun. Runs til Saturday.

MUSIC | You Say Party! We Say Die! with Think About Life at the Phoenix
Abbotsford, BC dance-rock five-piece You Say Party! We Say Die! have spent the last four years touring but have hit the ground running with their third release XXXX. Their intensive touring schedule led to an emotional breakdown for singer Becky Ninkovic but they must be masochists cause they show no sign of slowing down and are playing not one but two shows today. They hit up Criminal Records for an instore performance this afternoon before playing a headlining slot with the excellent electro pop band Think About Life tonight.
