EXHIBITIONS

Yoga Conference And Show
Although this event kicked off yesterday, it runs until Sunday with informational seminars and a chance to meet master teachers. If you are a yoga enthusiast, this is your place to be this weekend. . Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front St West, March 30-31, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. April 1, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m$15 - $19.

Canadian 80s Toy Expo
Children of the 80s are going to get nostalgic over action figures, dolls and other collectibles. Many a, "I remember those!" will definitely be gasped. Come out to buy or just peruse the tables upon tables of childhood relics. Sheraton Parkway North Hotel, 600 Highway 7 East, April 1, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

National Motorcycle and Tattoo Show
Because motorcycles and tattoos have always gone together, or at least they used to, it's a show that combines both of them into one great weekend. Go and shop for a motorcycle and get inked at the same time. There will be hundred of vendors as well as tattoo artists showing off their work and armed with a needle. Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place, 100 Princes' Blvd., March 31-April 1, 10 a.m., $16.

FASHION

Synaptic City: Sage Paul Fall/Winter 2012 Show
This fashion show reveals the newest line of male and female clothes by designer, Sage Paul, which are a fusion of cultures and eras. The event will be hosted by Cherish Blood and will feature jewelry by several local artists. Afterward, there will be a dance party musician, ISKWE. The Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen Street West, March 30, 7 p.m., $10.

COMEDY

I HEART JOKES - Strip Comedy
Now there's way more on for these comedians, they could not get laughs and end up naked. Seven comedians will be pitted against a potentially cruel audience and have to strip every time one of their jokes doesn't get a laugh. There's either going to be a lot of fake laughter or biting cheeks and holding breath. Comedy Bar, 945 Bloor Street West, April 1, 9:30 p.m., $5.

MUSIC

Comeback Kid at The Mod Club
Everybody's favourite hardcore Manitobans are back to rock Toronto for an all-ages show. Comeback Kid will be at The Mod Club, supported by Close Your Eyes, Living With Lions, Foundation and Such Gold. The event is BYOEP (bring your own ear plugs). The Mod Club, 722 College Street, Friday, March 30, 6:30 p.m., $17.50.

Vitalic
Vitalic was the next big thing until Justice went and got all the mainstream attention about four years ago. But if you like French DJs who've studied their Daft Punk, Vitalic is still one of the best out there — and he's presenting his first new album material in years. Wrongbar, Saturday March 31, 10 p.m. $15 Advance Tickets available at Rotate This, Soundscapes. 19+

Atmospheres: Brendan George Ko
Toronto-based visual artist, Brendan George Ko, will present his selection of cinematic images on Saturday for the opening reception of his gallery. It will be on display in the East Gallery until April 28. Angell Gallery, 12 Ossington Avenue, Opening reception: March 31, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

ENVIRONMENT

Earth Hour at the Science Centre
Celebrate Earth Hour with an evening of free outdoor events in the Teluscape area outside the main entrance of the Science Centre. Festivities start at 8:30 and finishing off at 10 p.m. with a fire performer. Ontario Science Centre, 770 Don Mills Road, March 31, Parking fee $10, $5 for members, free for gold members.

FILM

Ace Cinema


Toronto: Cinema City
Get a head start on the Images Festival with a visit to Urbanspace Gallery for a look at Toronto's cinema history. Curated by Silent Toronto's Eric Veillette, this exhibit brings together "archival photos, histories, print ephemera, artifacts from forgotten theatres and video of Toronto during the silent era" to capture Toronto's rich cinema history. UrbanSpace Gallery, 401 Richmond Street. Runs until April 28. Hours: Mon-Sat, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

How to fall in love with your city, while avoiding a culture war
A mouthful for an event name but what is sure to be an interesting discussion - Spacing's Shawn Micallef will host a free public lecture called, "How to fall in love with your city, while avoiding a culture war," Friday afternoon. Micallef will over look our subway-loving Mayor's antics to see how we can all come around to fall in love with our city, Toronto. York University, Room 140, HNES Building, April 1, 2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. Free.

Toronto Festival of Storytelling
Events for this festival run throughout the weekend celebrating all things Canadian. So grab a cup of Timmies on your way and enjoy learning about what makes up Canada's past and present identity. Browse the full schedule. Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West, March 29- April 1, Free - $85.

Bedlam All Girl Pillow Fight Revue
Want to see some talented women destroy each other in a rambunctious pillow fight? Look no further. For more on the league, check out our previous coverage. Lee's Palace, 529 Bloor Street West, Friday, March 30th. Tickets $20 at the door.

Toronto Roller Derby Presents: 3rd Annual Quad City Chaos
The third annual roller derby tournament is happening this weekend at The Bunker at Downsview park. Roller derby enthusiast are encouraged to bring their own blankets and folding chairs to sit back and enjoy the action. Tickets are available in advance online. The Bunker, 40 Carl Hall Road, Studio 3, Doors open 11 a.m. on March 31 and 1 p.m. on April 1.

CHARITY

Community Clothing Swap
Here's a chance to de-clutter your wardrobe and save some cash. You'll have a chance to bring in the clothes you no longer wear (and that are in good condition) from 10 a.m. - noon and then the shopping and swapping begins at 1 p.m. and goes till 3 p.m. Any clothes that have not been swapped will be donated to United Way Agency. Evergreen Brick Works, 550 Bayview Avenue, April 1.

Beauty for a Purpose Spring Fashion Show
This fashion show will showcase the latest spring collection from local designers and raise money for SOS Children's Villages. Guests will receive gift bags and all-night access to Muzik Night Club for the event after party. Buy tickets in advance for $30, here. Muzik, 15 Saskatchewan Road, March 31, doors open at 9:30 p.m. and the show starts at 11 p.m.

MARKETPLACE

Bazaar of the Bizarre
This bi-annual marketplace is a quite a bit different than the St. Lawrence Market. Tables are filled with exotic, unique and, well, just plain bizarre items. That being said, it's a child-friendly event, complete with music, dancing and lots of shopping! Pia Bouman School For Ballet, 6 Noble Street, April 1, 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Free.
