NAKED

World Naked Bike Ride
The World Naked Bike Ride returns for another instalment of its bare-as-you-please cycling event protesting oil dependency, and taking place across 70 cities. While shoes, a bike helmet, and sunscreen are recommended, your overall outfit--as sparse or fancy as you'd like--is up to you.
Starts at Coronation Park, 12pm

PARTIES

Blocks Urban Heritage Scavenger Hunt
The inaugural instalment of this urban heritage scavenger hunt will see up to 50 pairs of contestants traversing the urban landscape with a set of archival photographs as clues, and a camera. The goal is to identify the location laid out in your photo without the aid of a car, take a picture, and convene at the Gladstone Hotel for a reception. Points are granted for difficulty.
The John St. Roundhouse/Steam Whistle Brewing (255 Bremner Blvd.), June 16, 11am, participation is $30 per team of two and includes reception.

Course of Time NXNE Special at Supermarket
In honour of NXNE, Supermarket offers up a 4 A.M. last call, and invites you to join Course of Time as they present their twelfth installment dedicated to the finest selection in contemporary and modern club music. Performers will include Kevin Mcphee, John Roman, Mr. Charlton, Rynecologist, and Mcnair & Clarke.
The Supermarket (268 Augusta Ave), June 15, 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., tickets are 5$ for the first 100 people.

Friday Night Live @ ROM
The ROM continues its weekly series of after-hours, adults-only drinks and dinos events. This Friday, the world's largest dinosaur--Futalognkosaurus--will be unveiled. Enjoy a ticketed gourmet dinner from Argentina and Saurus Wines, then head to the dance floor for beats from DJ Dave Allison featuring Higgins.
Royal Ontario Museum (100 Queen's Park), June 15, 6pm to 11pm, cover is $9.

Perez Hilton's One Night in Toronto
In case the MMVAs don't quite do it for you, Perez Hilton returns to Toronto for his one-night music extravaganza. Expected performers include Carly Rae Jepsen, Kat Graham, Anjulie and other surprise guests. Buy your tickets here.

FOOD

Brewer's Backyard: Father's Day Triathlon
What better way to celebrate Father's Day than an afternoon filled with bikes, beer and a BBQ? As the official after-party for Ride the Ravines, this event will feature beers from Amsterdam Brewery, food from Death Row Meals, live music, as well as bike stunts.

King of the Grill, Treat Your Dad to Over the Rainbow Annual Father's Day BBQ
Over the Rainbow, Hero Burger and Autism Speaks Canada, would like to make your day with Dad just a little more special. Fill out a ballot in-store for a chance to win a new BBQ of your own, or just join in for the grub. It's burger time.

THEATRE

Sockdolager
From the creator of The Templeton Philharmonic comes a grim and fast-paced dark comedy. Set in the late '20's, the show explores Toronto's history during the dynamic era of flappers and gentlemen. The show, featuring a cast of nine, promises to mix equal parts humor and darkness.

True Stories, Made Up Plays
Enjoy the best of both the storytelling and theatres communities at this collaborative event. First, storytellers tell their true-life tales, then improv troupes will bring the experiences to life and act them out on stage. Starring RN & Cawls, Big Coat and the Smash Hit Musical Improv.

King Street Alternative Film and Video Festival
Remember when the upstairs of Betty's was transformed into a wickedly creative cinema space? For the second time in under 6 months, there will be narratives, docs, cartoons, and video art at this 19+ event.

MUSIC

POP OFF TOUR: Parlovr, Hooded Fang and Goose Hut (NXNE)
CUSHE and POP Montreal are bringing what they claim to be three of Canada's best up-and-coming bands. Parlovr has been turnin' heads for a few years, and they're paired with Toronto's California-vibin' Hooded Fang. To top it all off, Goose Hut's buzz-worthy live performances are sure to raise the roof.

This week, Nicky Poole will lead you through a workout jam session--Reggae Flow with Bob Marley. All summer long, local instructors just like Nicky will pick the tunes for your workout. All you have to do is bring your own mat for complimentary yoga and beats.

MuchMusic Video Awards
If you find yourself in the Queen and John St. area on Sunday night, you'll be joined by the ruckus and crowds that can only spell the MMVAs. From the slew of performers to the fashions and screaming fans, this annual event will shut down a portion of Queen St. and light up the night. Find out how to get wristbands here, or watch the show from a safe distance.

Beyond the Blue Box Fashion and Art Show
Institute for a Resource-Based Economy, and 'Recycling Queen' Lianne Snow are proud to present the first annual recycled materials art and fashion show. For the love of creativity and Mother Earth, this event will showcase a fashion show, silent art auction, and a night marker for art vendors.

OTMZine Vintage Pop-up
OTMZine and Songs and Cigarettes team up for a vintage pop-up sale this Sunday. Eight local fashion stores, ranging from Dalston Grey to Reservoir Vintage to Tabula Rasa, will participate, and the event promises popcorn, popsicles, and music and records.

Opening Reception: Human Nature featuring work by JessGo

Russell Peters
