Canada's Wonderland opening date 2023

Canada's Wonderland opens for the season this week

Canada's Wonderland opens for the season this week on Friday May 5, kicking off the park's 42nd year with a jam-packed summer schedule of eventsnew rides and attractions.

For 2023, two new adrenaline-pumping rides will join this year's line-up, in addition to the over 200 other attractions, dining, children's areas, and Splash Works, their 20-acre water park which opens later this month.

The giant swing ride, "Tundra Twister," isn't for the faint of heart. The looping ride with rotating gondola arms will spin and twist riders 360 degrees and upside-down, reaching heights of 47 metres and speeds of 75 km/h.

For a more family-friendly ride that will still get your heart racing, "Snoopy's Racing Railway" is the park's newest and 18th roller coaster, which will take riders on a railway adventure in Planet Snoopy.

The official opening of the new rides is still to be determined, with an announcement expected to come soon.

Wonderland will also have a brand new dining option for guests. The Lazy Bear Lodge restaurant will offer a gourmet BBQ menu along with Canadian-inspired drinks.

Several food festivals are also coming to the theme park this summer. Taste of Portugal, Taste of the Caribbean, Oktoberfest, and an all-new Taste of Brazil have announced their dates spanning from August through September, which you can find on their events page.

Season passes and daily tickets are now on sale at Canada's Wonderland's website. Daily tickets start at $49.99 per person before tax, or you can get unlimited visits with the season pass starting at $94 online.
