The biggest Brazilian festival in Canada is in Toronto this weekend

Put on your dancing shoes, Toronto, because the biggest Brazilian festival in all of Canada is descending on the city this weekend.

For more than 20 years, Toronto International Brazilfest has been bringing the eats, beats and culture of Brazil to Toronto every summer, and they're gearing up for yet another fabuloso year.

Free to attend and open to the public, the festival showcases nearly every facet of Brazil's vibrant culture, from live dance and music performances to cuisine.

You'll be able to dance the day away along to the beats of samba, bossa nova and beyond with live performances by the likes of Tropicana Queens (samba), Megaodete (pop rock), Alexandra Nicolas (farro) and Batocada Upbeat (soul).

Once you've worked up an appetite, you can sample a variety of Brazilian dishes from a number of local food vendors like Le Boss Authentic Brazilian BBQ, offering everything from feijoada to brigadeiro and, of course, capririnha to wash it all down.

The festival takes place at Earlscourt Park (Lansdowne and Davenport), running from 12 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21.
