Leslieville Block Fest is back this year. It's a revamped festival with a new name. Previously known as the Lesliville Beer Festival, the now Leslieville Block Fest is bringing more to us this year then just beer. 

The festival will take place on Saturday, August 24th, marking the end of summer before back to school and colder days await. 

The festival, although rebranded from a beer festival, is still bringing all the hops filled sweetness of your favourite Toronto breweries like they have in the past. 

Although vendors for the 2024 season have yet to be announced, Leslieville Block Fest promises that they are "still rocking great local brewers at the event!". 

The festival has evolved from only celebrating local brewers to celebrating the inclusion of other vendors in the neighbourhood, thus making it more inclusive.

Who those vendors are? Nobody is sure as the details of the event have been kept pretty hush hush so far. 

Organizers have promised the inclusion of "great craft beer, local eats, fun and games for the kids," will be a part of the festival's jam packed day. 

The festival is also in partnership with Red Door Family Shelter, a program which provides emergency shelter and support for women and children affected by domestic abuse, families experiencing a housing crisis, and refugee claimants who have nowhere else to go to.

Tickets are now on sale with a reduced price for anyone who doesn't drink alcohol seeing as each ticket purchase includes a commemorative sampling mug and two beer sample tokens. 

Leslieville Block Festival takes place August 24th from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting at Dundas and Carlaw St.
