This entire resort in Ontario is for sale for $2.2 million
As Toronto real estate prices soar, many people have looked to get out of the city to buy a less expensive home.
The property at 248 Paudash Street in Otonabee-South Monaghan near Peterborough could be big enough for one family — and 12 of their closest relatives.
Priced at $2.2 million, the home and 12 cottages are now operating as a resort but could "make a great family compound," according to the listing.
The resort, called Sunshine Cove, has a sandy beach and is known as a good fishing spot on Rice Lake. The place was profiled on Fish TV.
"Sunshine Cove is near ideal living conditions and food sources for fish, making it one of the best fishing spots on the lake," reads the website.
It is also located near an old failed railway line that sunk into the lake in the 1800s.
The main home on the property is a conventional three-bedroom brick house with an attached garage.
But the home sits on 6.52 acres of land with more than 110 metres of waterfront. The 12 cottages on the waterfront are different sizes — five are three bedrooms and seven are two bedroom units.
The cottages are small but it looks like all the basics are included inside.
The cottages, furnishings, a small reception office, fish cleaning hut, docks, nine fishing boats and two pontoon boats are included in the $2.2 million price.
