Here's what the inside of the Leslieville dollhouse in Toronto looks like
Toronto's iconic Leslieville Dollhouse is up for sale, and the public is finally getting a glimpse inside of the kitsch-tastic home.
For more than 30 years, the so-called Leslieville Dollhouse has been delighting and puzzling passersby with its exterior, encrusted with toys, decorations and other paraphernalia.
When news broke earlier this week that the house would soon be going up for sale, a natural question quickly emerged — does the inside match the aesthetic?
We're finally getting an answer to that question, as the listing has gone live, peeling back the curtain on the mystifying home.
Listed for $999,000 by Re/Max Rouge River Realty, the two-storey semi-detached house features three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, along with an open living and dining area.
While the listing photos don't give much away in terms of bed- and bathrooms, they do show a charming, light-filled kitchen that's notably more organized than the house's exterior would let on.
The open living area show a few more signs of the current owners penchant for collecting and maxxing out the space, with a cabinet loaded up with keepsakes and plenty of furniture crammed in.
The spacious back patio is more peaceful than the outdoor space at the front of the house — while still packed to every corner with furniture and plants, there's a notable lack of Barbies and Tigger figurines.
As for the iconic collection of toys — everything from frizbees to Spongebob figurines — that adorn the house, listing agent Nadine Comeau tells blogTO that it'll be between the current and future owners to decide whether they stay or go.
The Leslieville Dollhouse is located at 37 Bertmount Ave.
