Cafe N One is a Japanese fusion restaurant is introducing a one-of-a-kind dining experiences that goes beyond just a cafe, restaurant, or dessert shop — it's actually all three.
The team opened their original location in Markham in 2019, with the concept to create a place suitable for all occasions, from cozy weekend brunch to late night cocktails and desserts.
Situated near Yonge and Finch, Cafe N One has a comfy and welcoming atmosphere, thanks to smooth wooden accents and large floor-to-ceiling windows.
You can find a selection of casual bites, pasta, and brunch options available at all times, along with their highlight— Japanese-inspired cocktails. Named after a Japanese city, this Kochi Yuzu ($12.50) has a taste similar to lemonade, thanks to a combo of gin, lemon, and yuzu juice, with a scoop of homemade yuzu sorbet to intensify its tartness and citrusy flavours.
Served in an artisanal glass from Japan, Fujiyama Blue ($10.50) is a sky-blue cocktail with a tropical twist, with Blue Curaçao, pineapple, and lemon juice. Topped with plain yogurt, its contrasting colours are meant to evoke the winter scenery of Mount Fuji.
Their comforting Black Sesame Latte ($5.95) is smooth and milky, with a mild nutty taste.
The Iced Strawberry Latte ($6.85) is a luscious blend of sweet strawberry purée and velvety milk, with a finishing touch of fresh strawberry pieces, fluffy whipped cream, and a drizzle of strawberry syrup.
One of their best sellers, Karaage Croffle ($19.50) is a combo of buttery croffles and crispy Karaage (Japanese fried chicken). Served with maple syrup and spicy mayo, this all-day breakfast is sweet and savoury in the best way.
The Smoked Salmon Croissant Combo ($17.50) puts a unique spin on the classic croissant sandwich. Packed with smoked salmon and arugula, it's flaky and slightly savoury, accompanied by creamy wasabi dill cream cheese and zesty Yuzu salsa.
The iconic Japanese Chicken Katsu Sando with salad ($13) is a delectable afternoon tea option. Sandwiched between slices of toast slathered with roasted garlic mayo, the golden deep fried chicken cutlet is perfectly complemented by the crunch of shredded purple cabbage.
Served with house salad and garlic toast, their signature Beef Saikoro Sirloin ($20.50) pasta is a delightful blend of sautéed onion, sukiyaki sauce, and juicy pan-seared sirloin steak bites.
If you're looking for a lighter option, go for their refreshing Yuzu Momo ($19) pasta. Cooked in yuzu and soy sauce dressing, its lemony notes harmonize perfectly with the umami and tender chicken thigh, all crowned with an aromatic fried onion garnish.
For dessert, indulge your sweet cravings with the Crème Brûlee Souffle ($17.50).
These jiggly, fluffy pancakes are blanketed with rich vanilla custard and have a crunchy caramel crust. Make sure to eat it with a bite of the banana brûlée it's served with!
