The Subway Series

We tried 5 out of 15 brand-new subs being launched at Subway Canada this month

Subway restaurants across Canada are going to start looking a little different (in the best way) — with a twist on their classic menu that will have you saying, “YESWAY!”

Instead of a “build-it-yourself” model of sandwich making, Subway is unveiling its biggest (and most significant) menu change yet and entering its “chef-crafted” era.

Dubbed the "Subway Series," the new menu will have 15 tasty craveable chef-inspired subs complete with toppings and sauces curated by their in-house culinary manager to make sure you're getting the most out of your sandwich.

The Subway Series

Of course, if you like, you’ll still be able to customize elements of each sandwich to your liking. But this reinvented model will make ordering your chosen sandwiches simpler — so you'll spend less time looking down at the toppings and more time looking up at the menu. All you have to do is choose a number and let your Subway Sandwich Artist do the rest.

With 15 tasty creations on the board, we were able to try some of our new favourite sandwiches from Subway’s new menu.

Mozzarella Bella

Vegetarians won’t be disappointed with this new menu, as the Mozzarella Bella’s selling point is its fresh mozzarella and rich pesto.

Subway's Mozzarella Bella

It's the top of the Italiano category of subs for a reason: this sandwich is light and herbaceous, complimented with spinach, tomatoes, parmesan, and their house sandwich sauce. This is perfect for a light lunch and will make you feel like you've been transported straight to Tuscany.

Suprimo

Another one off the Italiano sub category, this Italian sandwich comes loaded with Genoa salami, deli-style ham and pepperoni coming from Canadian farm-raised pork and Subway’s new capicola.

Subway's Suprimo Sandwich

The generous selection of proteins and a double portion of classic cheddar cheese are rounded out with red onions, tomatoes, lettuce, banana peppers, and Subway's signature house sub sauce, which really brightens it up and creates a tangy sandwich that Nona would approve of.

Stampede Brisket

Slices of beef brisket tossed in sweet and smoky BBQ sauce fill this sandwich, which comes with a double helping of Canadian cheddar cheese, crispy onions, a drizzle of smoky honey mustard, and even more sweet and smoky BBQ sauce.

Subway's Stampede Brisket

With fresh red onions and green bell peppers to round out the mix, if you’re the kind of person who loves their BBQ, then this sandwich from the Subway Series is for you.

Great Canadian Club

Ditch the lunchbox sandwiches your mom used to make you — the Great Canadian Club from the Deli category is next level.

Subway's Great Canadian Club

Not only are the deli-style turkey, ham, and maplewood smoked bacon all Canadian farm-raised, but the double helping of cheddar cheese is also made by Canadian dairy farmers.

Rounded out with lettuce, tomato, and a smoky honey mustard sauce, this sub gives you real classic sandwich vibes.

Turkey Rancher

Everything’s better with ranch, and this Deli sub is proof of that.

A deliciously smooth-tasting sub stuffed with Canadian farm-raised turkey and maplewood smoked bacon, this sandwich also comes with a double helping of Canadian cheddar cheese.

Subway's Turkey Rancher

You’ll also be getting fresh veggies like lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and Subway’s zesty peppercorn ranch for a lunchtime treat that’ll hit the spot.
