Sumo Wrestling Robots FTW!

Of the Top 10 most awesome things on the planet, sumo wrestlers and robots rank pretty damn high. Ninjas of course beat out both (and pirates aren't even a factor on the list), but nothing beats ninja, not even rock, paper or scissors.

Still, how often do you get to combine sumo wrestling and robots? While not as dramatic as "never," the answer is "not too often!" The Ontario College of Art and Design has just found a special place in my heart, for they are holding Sumo Robot Challenge 2007 on March 3rd. That's a Saturday, so all you 9-5ers have no excuse for not watching two deadly warriors spar in the sumo circle. The price is also a non-issue at 5$ for non-competitors and 2$ for students.

I WILL be on-hand for this event. Expect lots of nerd speak in an upcoming post where I'll talk with the would-be robozunas participating in this battle to end all battles. Hit the jump for further details.
