CleanTech North 2015 Winter Forum (Dec. 17)
Research and Innovation Minister Reza Moridi will be the keynote speaker at CleanTech North's 2015 winter event. The event's main focus is technological breakthrough and opportunity in the water industry. The event runs from 4-7pm and will include refreshments.

JS Code Club Hack Night Jan.6​
The JS (JavaScript) Code Club is hosted by OK GROW! an app development studio that opens the doors of its downtown office on the first Wednesday of every month to seasoned developers and newbies alike. The club offers a spot for developers to talk shop and facilitates collaboration with a Code Club Project Board app that helps match developers to projects that interest them.

MaRS Lived it Lecture with Greg Kiessling (Jan. 6)
The Lived It Lecture series is part of MaRS' Entrepreneurship 101 program, which provides live and online learning tools for entrepreneurs. In January the series will host Greg Kiessling who will share his experiences from building software company Sitraka and renewable energy company Bullfrog Power.

Tech Toronto Meetup (Jan. 11, Feb. 8)

Decoding Digifest Tech Escape Room (Jan. 23)

Participants will have 20 minutes to escape a locked room by solving puzzles, and whichever group escapes in the least time gets tickets to Digifest 2016.

Mobile Learning Lab Event: Mobile Architecture Best Practices (Jan. 27)
Subtitled "Don't Put Your Toilet in the Kitchen," this talk held by the Mobile Learning Lab promises to be a fun take on the subject of app design. The Lab is a collaborative resource center for mobile developers and hosts regular networking and education events.

Toronto Global Game Jam (Jan. 29-31)
The Global Game Jam is an international game-making event that is held every year in January. Over the course of a weekend participants are challenged to create a game from scratch based on a theme that is only revealed at the kickoff on Friday evening.

2016 Crowdfunding Summit (Mar. 3)
The 2nd annual Canadian crowdfunding summit will be held this March at the MaRS Discovery District. Last year's speakers consisted of founders of notable crowdfunding web platforms such as Rockethub and OurCrowd, as well as tech evangelists involved in the financial technology sector.

#DevTO International Women's Day Talks (March 8)
#DevTO will host its International Women's Day talks for the 2nd year in a row in March. The event will feature female developers discussing their careers and craft. #DevTO hosts tech presentation and networking nights that draw over 100 attendees on the last Monday of every month.

Dx3 Canada (Mar. 2-3)
Dx3 is Canada's largest digital marketing, advertising and retail event. The conference and trade show, which is now in its sixth year, focuses on inspiring Canadian business to pursue cutting-edge digital opportunities in all industries. Speakers include Jamie Herbert, Head of Consumer Marketing at Spotify.
