Week-long tech festival coming to Toronto this summer

Summertime in Toronto is also synonymous with festival season. But in addition to the concerts that dominate our weekend schedules, there's a new tech-focused fest making its way to this city for the very first time.

Techweek, founded in Chicago back in 2011, is celebrating its fifth birthday by expanding north of the border into Toronto. It's a seven-day conference and technology expo that aims to bring together "a mixture of entrepreneurs, visionaries, and thought leaders." And along with Toronto, it'll grace seven American cities including New York and Los Angeles.

While Techweek hasn't confirmed a venue or speakers just yet, the event is currently slated for the week of July 25.
