There are a variety of shows out there this week to please anyone's fancy. Here are a just a few:

Hana's Suitcase - It is March, 2000. A child's suitcase arrives from Auschwitz at the
tiny Holocaust Education Centre in Tokyo. Painted on the side are a
name, Hana Brady, a birthdate and the word "Waisenkind" (orphan).
Spurred on by children at the Centre, the curator embarks on a
relentless search from Tokyo to Prague to Toronto to uncover the story
of Hanah and her fate at the hands of the Nazis.
Lorraine Kimsa Young People's Theatre 165 Front Street East Sept 30-Oct. 19.

Hard Headed Woman - Comedian Sandra Battaglini's one woman show directed by Mark Andrada is a combination of stand up, musical comedy, multimedia, and bouffant clown. A treat for those who like their comedy unpredicatable and all over the place. Until October 21. Diesel Playhouse Theatre

Chekhov's Heartache - This hit show by Theatre Smith-Gilmour makes its final remount in Toronto before it travels to Russia to perform Chekhov's Shorts at the Chekhov International Theatre Festival in Moscow. The deep, and often humourous, look into Anton Chekhov's short stories has dazzled and impressed audiences on numerous occassions, so expect this one to be no different.
