Toronto Detroit bus service

Toronto just got a new cheap way to travel to the US

A new cross-border bus service between Toronto and Detroit has just launched, and you can now get to the Motor City for as low as $38.

Trailways, an affordable North American bus company, began daily service of the international express route on April 5, and it includes stops in Chatham, London, and Windsor.

“We are incredibly excited to bring Trailways’ affordable, comfortable, and eco-friendly service to Ontario and Michigan,” said Alex Berardi, President of Trailways.com.

"Trailways' daily departures to Detroit, as well as points east like London and Toronto will provide enhanced service to Windsor-Essex residents, along with convenient connections to Transit Windsor routes," says Transit Windsor Executive Director Tyson Cragg in their latest press release.

Trailways' low-emission motor coaches feature free WiFi, electrical outlets, on-board restrooms, and seating for persons with disabilities.

There are now four daily trips between Toronto and Detroit. Those travelling to Detroit will be able to connect to Chicago and other major U.S. cities through a connection.

You can book your tickets to Detroit now directly on their website

Trailways also introduced daily service to New York City from Toronto last year, with tickets ranging from around $71-$87 USD one way. If you're looking to skip the hassle at the airports this summer but save on gas, the low-cost bus service is a great option.
