Toronto is getting more GO Train trips to Niagara Falls this summer

On Friday, the Ontario government announced that it is increasing GO Train service between Union Station and Niagara Falls, with additional express services between Hamilton, Burlington, and Toronto.

Starting Saturday, May 20, weekday service to Niagara Falls will increase by two daily roundtrips, and weekend service will increase by one daily roundtrip, for a grand total of 21 roundtrips per week.

The province said it is also adding four additional weekday peak express trips in each direction on the Lakeshore West line, which will offer commuters more travel options between Hamilton, Burlington, and Toronto.

"Weekend GO train service will have special seasonal bike coaches, providing passengers with the opportunity to bring along bicycles to explore the 56-kilometre Niagara River corridor," the announcement reads.

If you're on a tighter schedule, other travel options to Niagara Falls this summer include a brand new $30 roundtrip service provided by FlixBus, which departs from Union Station at 8 p.m. every day and arrives in Niagara Falls at 9:50 p.m.

The bus back to Union Station departs at 11:30 p.m., leaving you with just under two hours to enjoy the Falls illumination and firework show before heading back home.
