Toronto is getting a new option for cheap flights to the Dominican Republic
Toronto flights to the Dominican Republic are about to get even easier to book this coming fall as low-cost carrier Flair Airlines has announced a new service from Pearson to Punta Cana International Airport.
After a rocky start to the year when four of its aircraft were seized allegedly due to Flair falling behind in its payments, the airline is set on getting back on track, with an aggressive increase in flight service and new destinations.
Flair's CEO Stephen Jones stated expanding its network into the Caribbean is an important part of the airline's growth.
Dominican Republic remains of the most popular destinations for Canadians who look to escape the cold winters to an area full of pristine beaches, vibrant culture, and gorgeous resorts that's a mere 4.5-hour flight away.
Flair's new Dominican-bound routes will be offered starting October 30, 2023. The airline will also offer service to Punta Cana from Ottawa and Kitchener-Waterloo later in the season.
Travellers also won't have to worry about a lack of flights getting to and from the island; the airline will be offering daily service from Toronto.
If you're flying out of Ottawa or Kitchener-Waterloo, there will be twice-weekly service.
One-way fares will start at $149 and are already available for booking on their website.
